Description

Make this granola your own by mixing and matching the fruits, nuts and even nut butters.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups old fashioned granola
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
  • 2/3 cup cashews
  • ¼ cup walnut oil
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp organic peanut butter
  • Pink sea salt

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. In a microwave safe bowl mix oil and honey then microwave for 25 seconds.

3. Next add the peanut butter and vanilla to the bowl and mix.

4. In another bowl mix all dry ingredients.

5. Now combine wet and dry ingredients. Once mixed well, place on a cookie sheet, sprinkle with sea salt.

6. Place baking sheet in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.

7. Remove from oven, mix and place back in for another 5 minutes.

8. Let granola cool completely prior to storing in an airtight container.

Notes

*Please note cranberries are optional. You can add as much or as little as you want. The same goes for the nuts. You can substitute the above nuts for your favorite type. You can also replace walnut oil for your preferred oil of choice. I love walnut oil in granola because of its subtle taste and health benefits.
