Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

June 13, 2018 By Pardis DeFord Leave a Comment

These chocolate peanut butter cups are nothing but pure perfection. Not only do they taste heavenly but they are a vegan, paleo, gluten free, and dairy free dessert.

The ingredients in this dessert also have health benefits when consumed in moderation! Dark chocolate contains flavonoids, which have been shown to decrease blood pressure and the risk of heart disease. Walnut oil is full of healthy fats (polyunsaturated and monounsaturated) that are cardiovascular protective when eaten in moderation.

Description

These chocolate peanut butter cups are nothing but pure perfection. Not only do they taste heavenly but they are a vegan, paleo, gluten free, and dairy free dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup dark chocolate of your choice
  • 2–4 Tbsp. peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp. walnut oil

Instructions

  1. Add dark chocolate, walnut oil, and only 2 tablespoon of the peanut butter to a small saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium heat while stirring constantly.
  3. After ingredients are melted and mixed to a smooth texture, remove from heat.
  4. Add a small layer of your chocolate mixture to each mold.
  5. Next, drizzle some peanut butter on top (as much as you like) and add more of the chocolate mixture to the top.
  6. Make as many as you wish. If you have big molds it will only make about 4-5 chocolate cups. Smaller molds will make 10-15.
  7. Place in the freezer in an air tight container overnight.

Notes

You can use any size or type of silicone baking mold that you like. You can also use paper muffin cups if you don’t have molds.
